A bluster of beats leads into a fanfare of trumpets, serenaded by the immortal line, "Don't live your life, through a TV".
And so begins the latest record by a one-man orchestra otherwise known as Napoleon IIIrd.
In the past year or so he's gone from being one of many potentially great artists to someone we've come to expect nothing less than greatness from, and 'This Is My Call To Arms' is another shining example of why he's considered one of the most exciting solo artists in the country at present.
Veering off in more directions than a headless chicken and only pausing for breath at each intermittent fanfare - or calls to arms, as the case may be - this single deserves to squash the rotting corpses of Brian Potter and Andy Pitkin under their own rusty wheels and be crowned number one for the next eight months.
Of course, in the real world, this won't actually happen. But at least you can be safe in the knowledge that when you hear 'This Is My Call To Arms' your heart and head will be skipping along merrily in tandem, swapping sceptres as they go.
