Paper Cuts

Slippery Slope / Stand Up Be Counted

Label: Kids Release Date: 05/12/2005

11762
-Raz- by Raziq Rauf December 4th, 2005

Can you believe that Symposium happened a whole decade ago? Yup. This is their frontman Ross Cummins’ new band. Yeah, that crazy mental who struggled to stand still even for a second while on stage. Paper Cuts are a thoroughly new wave punkish affair with a charismatic snarl rising over thudding rhythms and funked synths. The flipside leans further and further into a more conventionally frantic punk rock song, delivered with plenty of Cummins' trademark swagger and verve. They’ve already toured with their old buddies from Hell Is For Heroes, are about to go on a couple of dates with Biffy Clyro and are releasing this through the ultra-hip Kids Records. This is a definite recipe for cool.
