A year on from their _'Supergrass Is 10' compilation, the eternally-youthful trio return with the first single to be taken from their forthcoming fifth effort 'Road To Rouen', 'St. Petersburg'. is The track fades in gently, riding on a lush piano groove and Danny Goffey’s most sedate drumbeat to date, while Gaz Coombes’s voice, softened almost to a croon, recollects a romantic travelogue. The whole affair sounds not unlike a lost **Elliott Smith demo, a sparklingly melodic slice of melancholy, and the sound of Supergrass growing old gracefully.
