Three singles in and chances are you’ve already decided whether you like the Bravery or not, what with all the band catfight blather and 'An Honest Mistake'’s blanket airplay. Whichever side of the fence you’re on 'Fearless' won’t change your mind; built around a ghostly synth riff, it chugs along at a pleasant if predictable rate, coming on more Duran Duran than any other band you could mention.
The problem is, it’s so slickly put together that any attempt to engage with the song just slides off it’s shiny surface. Which may be the point – the _"I know that’s why you love me chico"_ chorus coupled with a speedboat-laden video brings to mind disposable eighties pop glamour of a very fashionable variety. While this may well see it follow its predecessor into the charts, whether it floats your…er…boat probably depends on whether you like your bands to at least look like they dress themselves.
