It seems Matt Mower is already a legend in his own right, creating spunky punkpop and country-ish anthems for the pissed-off youth. And why not, eh? ‘The Morning After’ isn’t quite as infectious as previous single ‘After Dark’, but if you’ve ever been pissed on cheap beer and woke up, bemused, in a bed that wasn’t your own (don’t lie – you’ve been there) then you can relate to this. Come on now - the title of the single speaks for itself, doesn't it?
It’s fun, dumb and full of cum; a three-and-a-bit minute blast of Supergrass-esque mindless indie rock. The guitar solo is terrible. Who cares? Not I. They should be famous.
