Ah Space, where have you been?
To hell and back apparently. Gone a long time amid record company chaos, departing members and seemingly, a musical rethink.
It's clear that the time away has affected Tommy's songwriting mentality. The askew lyrics are still there, "_We're all into international killers, we are all a nation of Godzilla's... we're all zombies when it comes to love_" But musically, its a whole different kettle of mutated fish.
Eerily, it starts off like a phat-synthed New Order. And suddenly, it goes off into a ultra-saccharine uber-catchy chorus, akin to 1996 Bis screaming along on some nasty old speed. It's weird, it's undeniably catchy, but it's still Space. And Space remind you of a band who ultimately failed. Trying times ahead for this band, and even more worrying, they don't appear to have a clue who they are and what they are doing: "Who am I? I might never know" questions the singer. Well if you don't know, then I'll be fucked if I do.
