It's not totally clear, in true Chimp fashion, whether the narrator of London's loudest four-piece's latest installment of near intolerable bombast was "born in a cauldron" or is merely boiling in one, the unfortunate victim of some Hansel and Gretal witch's fattening program. Truth be told, it doesn't matter a great deal - as the title sort of implies, 'War Machine' is a flat-out sonic assault lasting three-and-a-bit minutes and registering on seismographs as far away as Sofia.
"Whaaat is this? Earthquakes here, in Bulgaaaria? It can nooot beee..."
And so forth in a dodgy Eastern European accent.
The b-sides are just as merciless, but Part Chimp ensure that their everything-to-eleven approach is tempered by at least a semblance of melody, ensuring that this first single from the forthcoming I Am Come album provides head-nodding enjoyment aplenty.
