This is 'Son Song'. This is a Sepultura tune. This kinda hits you in the face rather firmly as the riff that can be described only as 'killer' kicks in. Son Song was co-written by none other than self-proclaimed indie kid and slight Zane Lowe lookalikey - Sean Lennon. Oh yeah, and he has a father named John who drove a VW or something. This rather undainty tune is being released upon these shores as a one-track CD. Rip-off? Nah. It's a cracker. If they put other songs after it, they would just be an anti-climax so what's the point? "Oh but I love b-sides..." DEAL WITH IT - THEY ARE SOULFLY, THEY DO WHAT THEY BLOODY WELL WANT TO!
Having now given you the impression that this is a heavy metal song that only serves to impair your already significantly diminished hearing it does have great mellow backing vocals courtesy of that Lennon boy and a slow, relaxing ending that does not - as one would have expected - suddenly come to life with that 'killer' riff, as previously mentioned, hitting you firmly in the face. *No*. They aren't that horrid. They just let it all fade out. It's really quite lovely. You should probably love this. Go on. You know you want to...
