I don’t think *Zerell *are doing the recording studios where they recorded this any favours by printing their name in the sleeve of this demo because their producer obviously sees no point in tuning the guitars before recording begins. Either that or something seriously went wrong when Zerell burnt off copies of this demo, because I find myself struggling to listen beyond track 2 as it rolls on by at a punishing pace, all the time sliding constantly in and out of tune like a damaged record.
Inspired by the Ramones, AC/DC *and *Alkaline Trio, and sounding nothing like any of them Zerell are evidently a band in it’s early stages, trying to find it’s feet amongst a punky rock template. Although the first track _‘Hide And Seek’ _does show a little potential it seems they’ll need a lot more practising before they can really expand on any they might have.
A case of could do better I'm afraid.
