Riding on the back of The Libertines' semi-success come this young SE London quintet, boasting they play on average of three London venues a month, and describing themselves as 'Garage Punk & Roll'. If I were The Base, I'd shy away from scenester comparisons and - to use an old cliché - let the music talk for itself.
Their 2-track demo is good ol' fashioned sloppy punk rock. It's not better but in fact it's not really worse either than what's been spat out by The Hives, the aforementioned Libertines etc etc (you get the picture). 'Born Today / Gone Tomorrow' is the better of the two, boasting more of a tune than shouty opener 'Imperial Garden'. It's just going to take them a little more effort to make them stand out among the two-a-penny punk'n'garage bands doing the rounds in the capital.
