Sprawling samples 'n' beats 'n' all that sort of guff. At time of sending me their demo, they'd only played three gigs. 'Mankind' plods along and gets boring after about three minutes. Likewise, 'Petite' is a similarly laid-back affair, with swearing! Hurrah! It has a nice, warm feel to it with some acoustic guitar licks, bleeps and vinyl pop'n'click effects. Hangover music. Last track 'Breakdown' is the most interesting of the three, although the most conventional instrument-wise with, ugh, proper singing. It does, however, build very slowly and get a little boring (it's over six minutes long). I'll do a lazy journalism comparison and say it reminds me of, oooooh, let's say.. Spiritualized. Aye, that'll do.
Very nice stuff on the whole, although they sound like they smoke far too much weed. Get some (music that is, not weed) from vivastereo@hotmail.com
