Amon Tobin

Chaos Theory

Label: Ninja Tune Release Date: 07/02/2005

-Raz- by Raziq Rauf March 8th, 2005

You know how the score from a good movie always gives a better feel of the atmosphere and the style than a mere compilation soundtrack, despite never selling nearly as many? Yeah, like that, except this is a video game... YA WHAT?

Amon Tobin has crafted a score for a war sniper spy type game here and quite accordingly it feels frantic and calculatedly assured. This electronic record has been constructed almost entirely of acoustic instruments that have then been accordingly warped and moulded in their malleable electronic state to form this intriguing record. Obviously if you have the game you can probably just leave your xbox on, otherwise you can buy this so you can dance to the accompanying sounds of Japanese men getting shot at.
