Low - Ones and Sixes
Another subtly heart-rending effort from a band that remains one of the very finest in the world»

Sub Pop release Low's 'Ones and Sixes', the group's latest studio effort. The album was co-produced by the band and engineer BJ Burton at Justin Vernon's April Base Studios in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The record nicely balances the band's trademark immediacy ('Into You' and 'Kid In The Corner') with more sprawling, experimental fare (the blistering, nearly 10-minute 'Landslide' or 'DJ,' a track that could be a spiritual cousin to Trust's 'Shots and Ladders'). Throughout the record, electronic flourishes bubble under the surface while the cavernous-sounding guitars rip and echo around the corners. Low never let you down.
