The whole record has a dreamy quality, being just out of focus.»

'Half Of Where You Live' is the follow up to Gold Panda's debut album 'Lucky Shiner' - a release that garnered widespread acclaim and won the Guardian First Album Award on its release in 2010. In the three years that has passed since that album's release Gold Panda has toured extensively worldwide, and his experiences can be seen as in influence on this record with track titles like Brazil and Enoshima, and the oriental sounding textures of 'My Father In Hong Kong 1961' and 'We Work Nights' capturing his nomadic existence. The feel of 'Half Of Where You Live' is cosmopolitan, with each track possessing a different aesthetic and environment. 'Half Of Where You Live' is released on Gold Panda's own Notown label - also home to recent releases from Luke Abbott, Dam Mantle and Hannes Rasmus.
