the fifth album from the cribs was recorded with dave fridmann (flaming lips, mercury rev etc) and steve albini (nirvana, pixies, shellac), as well as at abbey road by the band themselves. 'in the belly of the brazen bull' marks a return to their classic three-piece status and heralds another chapter in the upwards trajectory of the jarman brothers.
