comes with exclusive rough trade bonus cd. new york's native sons total slacker have so far seeped out a couple of limited edition 7"s and now marshall teller records unveils the group's debut full lengther. ripping up the streets of brooklyn, total slacker are a two boy, one girl tour de force of reverb sludge and gorgeous harmonies. woven through out 'thrashin' is a wanton destructive urge that pulls apart some real heart-tugging melodies before stapling everything back together in a garagey manner. in parts sounding like a lost garage band from the mid 60s trapped in a cavern and forced to eat each other for nutrients, total slacker seem to sum up the frustration, ebullience and downright fucked up nature of being young, smart and directionless. 'thrashin' also features guest spots from cole smith of beach fossils, further pushing the envelope of indie daydream pop.
