malcontents of the modern age, the skuzzies are a london-based trio who have established themselves as arch-exponents of feral melodies. the band debuted in 2004 at the infamous babyshambles riot, where they played in front of 4000 people. when the crowd went crazy and bouncers lost their tempers, the event made the news and the skuzzies were heroes for a night. homelessness and dissolution took their toll, however, until 2006 when lead singer/ guitarist jerome alexandre started playing with drummer nick le west. by the summer, indie label easy action had come on board and the skuzzies were hard at work on their 10 track platter, a mixture of crowd pleasing stalwarts 'dissatisfied,' 'hungry as a hound' and 'more than this' rubbing shoulders with newer more emotive material such as 'heartache accelerates' and 'are you sleeping?'
