23-year-old singer and multi-instrumentalist max mcelligott aka wolf gang releases his debut album 'suego faults'. the enigmatic artist will surely stamp his romantic, surreal and imaginative sound all over 2011. he recorded his debut album with mercury rev, mgmt and flaming lips producer dave fridmann. you can tell the (whiz) kid's in love with late-70s berlin-era bowie / eno and the (eno-enhanced) brainiac funk of byrne and his talking heads. but you can also detect, from the blurry flurry of sound, especially on the track 'lions in cages', the influence of contemporary experimental us pop group grizzly bear.
