'the dogs are parading' is a career retrospective of holmes' critically acclaimed studio work curated by david himself. the 29 track double cd 'hits and rarities' set contains 3 brand new tracks ('the girlfriend experience', 'your on fire (too fat)' and 'the lower orders', 1 brand new remix of 'the ballad of sarah and jack' by geese and 1 other previously unreleased track, the kevin shields mix of 'living room'. the release includes key tracks 'my mate paul', 'gritty shaker', 'gone', '69 police' and 'i heard wonders' and covers david's career from 'slash the seats this film's crap', originally released in 1995 through to 2008's 'the holy pictures'. the double cd additionally includes mixes from mogwai, arab strap, major force, fridge and andrew weatherall.
