Lostprophets - The Betrayed
Following Liberation Transmission, I wasn't sure what to expect of the band - such a change from thefakesoundofprogress and start something. After hearing It's Not The End of The World and Where We Belong, I was uncertain as to how I would take the new ablum. Finally, release day arrived and from If It Wasn't For Hate I was hooked. Lostprophets have incorporated all of their years of singing knowledge into a flawless combination of mosh-pit anthems, heartfelt songs and beautiful lyrics. My personal favourites (if forced to distinguish) would have to be The Light That Burns, Dstryr/Dstryr, Next Stop Atro City, Dirty Little Heart and Darkest Blue.
Was this album worth the wait? Definitely :D It's obvioius Ian and the crew have learnt what worked from the past 3 albums, and as a result The Betrayed incorporates these strengths into a composition of beauty :)
