THE MOI NON PLUS are a LOUD drum / guitar / sample duo from Amsterdam with a sound informed by such bands as LIARS, THE LAPSE, TV ON THE RADIO, BLONDE REDHEAD and SONIC YOUTH. Already generating buzz with their ferocious live show, Smalltown America release their self-titled debut album on October 12th.

The 12 tracks combine the unsettling and the explosive – simultaneously unpredictable yet rhythmically pulsating art rock delivered with lung scorching vocal intensity and rib-rattling guitar drones.

The band members have strong roots in the Dutch underground arts scene. Singer/Guitar player Bas Morsch is founder of the Amsterdam based indie/Art magazine That Dam! while drummer Leon Caren is the founder of Holland's leading underground arts collective SUBBACULTCHA! including the record label through which their album was self-released in 2008 which alongside a slew of glowing reviews also garnered a nomination for best record of 2008 by 3voor12 ( the leading dutch music site) and VPRO (Dutch national radio station).
