Cornershop - Judy Sucks A Lemon For Breakfast
It seems strange to think that to 99% of the British record buying public, Cornershop will always be seen as this bizarrely quirky one hit wonder whose only claim to fame was an unlikely number one single as a tribute to Indian seven inch singles some twelve years ago...»

the quintessential 21st century pop group cornershop return with their first album in seven years. 'judy sucks a lemon for breakfast' is the same cornershop but bigger and heavier. the album starts with the irrestible neo-stones swagger of 'who fingered rock n roll' and carries on via the all out pop single 'the roll off characteristics (of history in the making' and closes with the 17 minute cosmic gospel journey 'the turned on truth (the truth is turned on)'. rough trade shops love affair started in 1993 when cornershop signed to the shop label wiiija and released 'in the days of ford cortina' and now 16 years later we love them just as much.
