ah, the heady days of music retail, circa 1992. seemed like there were three albums that every punterhad to have - 'nevermind', 'copper blue' and 'its a shame about ray'..... not surprisingly, the 'kids' still care, and now this proper, bona-fide, 'classic' album gets a decent reissue on vinyl. short (but perfectly formed), 'its a shame about ray' was / is the perfect 'feelgood' album, with vital, bouncy, shiny, happy songs, drawled out by the indie posterboy overlord himself, evan dando, with a lot of help from juliana hatfield.....every song runs into the next with barely a pause for breath, totally seamless pop - 'it's a shame about ray', 'confetti', 'allison's starting to happen', 'frank mills', 'my drug buddy', 'rockin' stroll', and yep, 'mrs robinson' - all remastered and sounding ultra fine on 180g vinyl.....release date: 23/03/2009
