With the help of a new label, The Favours release 'Islands', their first release of a single in a few years after they allegedly made their forceful entrance onto the UK music scene back in 2003.
With the new label, there probably came some pretty and shiny resources in the studio, probably helping making things a bit prettier, a bit shinier.
Despite this, with its incredibly throw-away progressions and even more carelessly shallow lyrics, ‘Islands’ make The Favours sound like a band who didn’t get the memo that outed Garbage as absolute garbage.
