BURBsAudio, the independent label which releases records by bands featured on the British Underground Rock Band Site, has announced a new deal which should considerably help its bands' exposure in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Not only will a new compilation CD be commercially released and distributed in these countries (all BURBsAudio releases have so far been available by mail order only), but also there are plans for a three-band tour of "all the major venues across Europe" to promote the release.
BURBs has been working hard for years to help unsigned and underground British rock bands find the exposure that they deserve. BURBsAudio, launched in June 2000, has released a total of nine CDs in its first year, all of which have been available either as separate releases or on a subscription basis at under 30 pounds for the entire set. This new deal, which will ensure that all of the music featured on BURBs will reach a far wider audience than before, will be of considerable help to the aim of site creator Barry Ratcliffe, to provide all of his bands with the rewards and recognition that they deserve.
