HOTS Filthy McNasty Gig ToNiTe! (5/3)
shadyadie by [redacted] March 5th, 2004
Sam and Mike from Hope Of The States are playing a 30-minute set in the tiny Filthy McNasty's Whiskey Café in London tonight (that's March 5th 2004).

Posting on their messageboard, Sam said: "Firstly a dear friend will sing a few ditties and then a wooden guitar, wooden violin and cracked voice yogle and eucrid shall perform at around 8:30pm. If ye can spend some valuable friday evenin cheer with us we would be most honoured/touched. We are hoping for a packed out house of drink and giggles so try and wander down early to ensure ye can get in, its only a tiny wee place..."

It is free entry and is the first time any of the band members have performed together in public since the death of guitarist Jimmi Lawrence.

The address is 68 Amwell Street, EC1. The nearest tube is Angel, which means you can sod off to the Bar Academy afterwards for Fierce Panda birthday fun, and watch various DiS boys in various states of unsoberness. And some bands too.
