Drowned in Sound can confirm that Ryan Adams has had to postpone his entire European tour, having fallen off-stage (rather drunk?) in Liverpool on Friday, as reported by DiS. He was taken to Royal Liverpool Hospital where it was confirmed that he'd broken his arm.
The Liverpool Post ran this on the scene fan report:
"It was about two-thirds of the way through the show. Ryan was playing one minute, and then he suddenly disappeared from view and there was a sickening thud. Although he tried to continue, it soon became clear he was badly injured and the houselights went up signalling the end of the show."
Refunds are usually available from point of purchase, but we expect new dates to be announced when he has mended and that tickets for the postponed shows will be valid for the new dates. Get well soon.
