Whilst half the world is mourning the death of replica rock, bands like Mew are taking over, rubbing their soaring lo-fi pop in the faces of any cherub who'll listen. Debut album 'Frengers' has won the band media acclaim from, like, bespectacled old people with no dress sense and t-shirts that fadedly say "hipster".
The news is the band are properly releasing last year's 7" only, limited edition single, 'Am I Wry? No' on June 9th via Evil Office/Epic. The single will be available on 2 CDs. CD1 has the radio edit and 'King Christian' and 'Mica'. CD2 has the album version plus acoustic versions of 'She Spider' and 'Comforting Sounds'. The 7" features 'Behind The Drapes (live)'.
