After cancelling UK dates in Nottingham and Cardiff, due to flu and exhaustion, the planned tour of last year's postponed US dates has been scrapped as well. From the band's guitarist Omar Rodriguez "After a non-stop six-year cycle of record/tour/record/tour, we are going on an indefinite hiatus. We need time to rest up and re-evaluate...just to be human beings again and to decide when we feel like playing music again." It is most probably that the rescheduled UK dates which were hoped to go ahead in August have been ruled out as well.
This hopefully puts to rest the rumours circulating on the Internet that the band were on the verge of splitting up.
