You may have noticed this week, that amongst the Britney-a-likes, Retro-ists, Nu-Metal and Pop-Cheese on the BBC Radio 1 playlist, that there has been some little bands, unsigned infact, on their playlist.
Infact, one of the bands, Four Day Hombre, you may have heard us bigging up. And as luck would kinda have it, they cancelled a show on us last minute due to illness but we've got them playing The Windmill in February.
Here are the tracks that're on the playlist..
Four Day Hombre - 'The First Word Is The Hardest'
Jetson - 'Taking Care Of Business'
Mike Celekt - 'Zzoot Zzsoo'
Motley - 'Muddy'
Sweettoof - 'Rubber Glove'
The Vaults - 'She Loves'
You can listen to the tracks on the Radio 1 site, here.
DiScuss: Is this just a clever pr stunt and a way of radio 1 getting in some record label goodbooks? Or is this genuinely proactivism with our license fees? Is this further proof that UM&AH-land needs the media to show it good bands to avoid crap like The Crescent getting record deals?
