Because John Entwistle, bassist with mod rockers / stadium dinosaurs The Who who did concept albums such as 'Tommy' and the million selling zeitgeisty (by 1970's standards) 'Quadrophenia' (Or Modrophenia might be a better title), died in Las Vegas on Thursday 20th June, having performed a final gig with the band in February at the Royal Albert Hall where there were guest appearances by such dad-rocker luminaries as Paul Weller (who formed The Jam after listening to too many Who records), Noel Gallagher from Oasis and Bryan Adams.
Entwhistles death is currently under investigation, said coroner Ron Flud, of the Clark County Coroner's office in Las Vegas. The band were due to resume a concert tour later in the year, but difficult to see the future is....
