UPDATE: Remix Tunng and win a bunch of brilliant stuff!
JoeDiddly by Luke Slater March 11th, 2010

Competition Update!

Do pay attention to all of the below information it is vitally important. But we've now got some more stems from 'Hustle' for you to play around with for this here compo. You can get them from here. Unzip and you're away!

'So You Think You're A Good Remixer, Yeah?' may not yet be the title of a BBC or Sky talent show, but I wouldn't rule it out just yet. Though, what we have for you here is a very similar version - albeit without the Television part, annoying host, and the opportunity for 15 seconds of fame, all of which happen to be advantages.

Anyway, the crux of the competition is this: Folk-meisters Tunng have a new record out, entitled And Then We Saw Land. Bloc Party have remixed the first single from the record, 'Hustle' and your challenge, should you wish to accept it, is to remix the same track but BETTER than what Bloc Party did. Tunng themselves will be the judges. Easy enough.

But what are the incentives. In short, these are:

  • Your remix will be included as the B-side to a forthcoming Tunng single
  • A signed copy of '...And Then We Saw Land' on CD or LP
  • A Tunng t-shirt and tote bag
  • An exclusive ...And Then We Saw Land test pressing of the LP (only 5 in existence!!!)
  • A SoundCloud Pro Plus account (worth €500)

You can get the stems (the individual parts) of the track from here or indeed here and you should submit your re-mixed entry in the DropBox which can be found here. Those are the easy parts, the hard work has to come from you. General stuff embedded below along with the video for 'Hustle'. Closing date is March 31, so that gives you a month to perfect your handywork.
