Since their first tentative steps into London's music scene way back in 1998, it seems that Lumiere have rarely had a stable lineup. The most recent change was the shocking departure of singer Kim (apparently owing to disagreements over his singing style) and the subsequent recruitment of Markus on bass and Luke on synthesiser, with former keyboard player Cade taking Kim's place.
After a few low-key gigs with their new lineup, the band is now ready to unleash its seductive brand of electronic pop on London once more. The band's new sound is apparently more melodic and optimistic than before, but anyone who is concerned that the band may have lost its edge will be reassured by a new demo track, Broken, available on the band's website, which reveals that the band's quality and personality are still intact. New tracks will be available soon.
The band is due to play the following dates over the summer:
12th July 2002: The Dublin Castle, London
5th July 2002 Pierot Lunaire Club, The Rhythm Factory, London
4th July 2002 Moles, Bath
