It was with a heavy heart that DrownedinSound ordered the taxi that'd speed it away to Barcelona airport on Monday evening, as the Primavera Sound 2008 sortie came to a close for a second, great year. An incredible amount of incredible bands - among them HEALTH, Times New Viking, Public Enemy, Devo, Animal Collective, Atlas Sound, El Guincho, Holy F*ck and so many more - coupled with the Catalan sunshine and the necessary diversions came together to weld the best festival experience this writer has ever had, and we wish to thank the organisers for that. Our comprehensive run-down on the best that Primavera had to offer will be online very soon, but for now get green eyes for daily diaries one, two and three.
We return with live music of our own in the very near future - first with the aforementioned HEALTH next Thursday, the 12th of June - we're putting it on with Vice for FREE at the Old Blue Last, click here for details - and then there's the DiS-sponsored show with Pinback and Matthew Houck's Phosphorescent on the 14th of July, (tickets/details).
