The dates are yet to be confirmed, but for eager fans, tickets for several dates are already being advertised on aloud.com. Although these dates are still to be confirmed and more are to be announced, it is unlikely that the tour will include a London date.
The band will almost definitely consist of Ginger, Danny, CJ and Stidi - the same lineup that recorded the band's much-celebrated debut, 'Earth vs. The Wildhearts', and who embarked on a UK tour in June of last year.
Current plans are for the band to record a brand new EP, followed by an album at some stage next year. Before the release of the album, the band also hope to release a DVD featuring live and archive footage to celebrate the band's 10th anniverary.
Far from neglecting his other projects, Ginger has also announced plans for Silver Ginger 5's new album, recording for which will probably begin after The Wildhearts' tour. The album will be the first to be recorded by the band in its current incarnation, and will almost definitely feature songs written or co-written by guitarist Conny Bloom, whose anthem 'Walk Like A Motherfucker' was included on the British release for the band's debut album, and will also be featured on the soundtrack for Swedish filmmaker Jonas Åkerlund's new movie, Spun.
Meanwhile, amidst complaints that Ginger has failed to realise his promise of releasing a solo single every month for a year, the artist has explained that he has already recorded six months' worth of material, meaning that the problem with releases is the fault of the record label rather than the artist. The next single, to be released imminently, will be 'This Time I'm Serious', backed by b-sides 'Reinventing The Wheel' and 'Blinded By Absinthe'.
