Yeah, there were sceptics. People doubting the worth of a news story that was, admittedly, conjecture.
“Band want to play festival. Lineup not yet announced”
Pithy.
“IS THIS NEWS?!??!?!?!”
Withering. Still, good thing we did report it, ‘cause now Super Furry Animals have been confirmed for this year’s Green Man Festival and Drowned in Sound’s taking all the credit for the link-up.
Gruff Rhys, Guto Pryce and the rest of the Welshmen will head to Glanusk Park in Brecon Beacons to play their award-winning native festival, headlining the main stage on Saturday the 16th of August; the second night of three.
Adult weekend tickets for the event cost £105 and include on-site camping and parking. Entry is free for those below 12. You can be one of 10,000 in attendance – ‘intimate’, for a festival – by visiting TheGreenManFestival.co.uk and parting with cash.
You can read all of Kate Hewett and Rob Webb's fan-directed interview here. They're like a modern day Antony and Cleopatra.
