Danny McCormack, whose previous punk rock outfit The Yo-Yo's split earlier this year, is now fronting The Chasers, whose EP 'Onwards And Upwards' was released this week. The band, consisting of Danny (bass and vocals), Neil Chaser (guitar and vocals), Paul Buckingham (keyboards and vocals), Darrell Bath (guitar and vocals) and Mark 'Mayhem' Mayhew (drums), are also set to play some live dates to promote the release.
The band was formed after McCormack left the Wildhearts reformation tour of July early owing to illness, and with the help of South Shields record store Changes One (who are releasing the band's first two EPs), recorded the six tracks which feature on 'Onwards and Upwards'.
The Chasers will play the following dates in November and December:
Tuesday November 27th - The Cellar Club, South Shields (with Tracie Hunter and The Cheesemakers)
Tuesday December 11th - Trillians, Newcastle (with Psycho A Go-Go)
Saturday December 15th - The Ruskin Arms, London (with Tracie Hunter and Darrell Bath)
Sunday December 16th - The Borderline, London (with Tracie Hunter)
Saturday December 22nd - Bradford Rios (with AntiProduct and Tyla)
The Chasers' debut EP, 'Onwards and Upwards', is available now from Changes One.
