Goldrush were called Whispering Bob, until apparently, persuaded by some A&R person, they changed their name. Whispering Bob formed in 1998 (they played their first gig in July 1998), with members of Cresta and Mecca. They named themselves after "Whispering" Bob Harris, the radio 2 DJ, who Robin served in the local Spar shop. So to now name themselves after a Neil Young song is quite a natural progression.
Their single "Love Is Here" is released this week.
