Chesney Hawkes has announced on his website that he hopes to finish the recording of his album soon, although no release date has been stated as yet. The album, which is produced by Charlton Pettus, will feature single 'Stay Away Baby Jane', a clip of which can be found at the artist's website.
As reported previously on DiS, Chesney has begun the re-launch of his solo career with a UK tour, on which he comments:
"The gigs have been so much fun. We've been playing in Student unions and night clubs up and down the country for the last 2 months now, playing on average to about 1500 people a night. It has been a blast. We have all been so overwhelmed by the response from the crowds."
The only confirmed dates remaining on the tour are as follows:
July 19th - SU Club - SHEFFIELD
July 20th - Pennington's - BRADFORD.
Although the tour began as a strictly solo affair, Chesney reports that he is now playing with a full band, including his brother Jodie, who until recently played drums with Chesney in a band called Ebb.
