The venue has been fighting with its landlord, homeless charity Bowery Residents' Committee, to renew its lease, which expired at the end of August.
Kristal said that moving to Nevada was one option for the establishment.
“They’re courting me in Las Vegas. Ten or twenty years ago it wasn’t so cool. But now Vegas isn’t a bad idea. There’s a population of over one million people. And now there’s a lot of rock ‘n’ roll [in Vegas], maybe not on the Strip,” he told DiS at the CMJ music marathon in New York.
“Now things are done for money, more than they should be,” he added.
