Big Ask was launched recently by Thom Yorke on behalf of Friends Of The Earth. The campaign's intention is to put pressure on MP's to get the proposed Climate Change Bill passed through parliament as soon as possible.
Computers will be set up in the venue and everyone attending the event will be asked to visit www.thebigask.com and fill in a 90 second form which sends an email to their MP on their behalf. The possibility of this event is that if each person goes away and asks 10 people to fill in the same form, the event will generate 10,000 emails.
Joining the line up are Rotating Leslie, described by one music weekly as "jangly, harmonic, gritty pop somewhere between the Clash, ELO and Sonic Youth". So there you go.DJs for the night will be the ubiquitous Queens Of Noize.
A headlining act is yet to be confirmed – we’ve got an idea who it is but we’re not telling you in case they change their minds.
Tickets are a mere £5 and any profit will be donated to Friends Of The Earth. Buy tickets via www.junction.co.uk or call 01223 511511
