Radio 1 has confirmed that it has done a deal with US satellite radio station Sirius, enabling it to reach receivers across America.
The service will come with a time delay, meaning that Americans will be able to hear the station's breakfast show at breakfast time, rather than at some unholy hour of the morning.
Transmission begins in late summer.
