The record is to be released in July, following the film's Japanese premier on July 1st. Directed by Björk's beau Matthew Barney, Drawing Restraint 9 is the latest (the ninth, d'uh) in a series of films exploring the relationship between humans and their everyday surroundings - not exactly a summer blockbuster, then.
The music is based largely around a Japanese instrument called a sho, which has 17 reeds, and will feature Noh voice techniques previously heard on last album proper Medulla.
