DiS Preview: M for Montreal
crablin by Colin Roberts October 25th, 2006

Montreal awaits DiS this weekend, here's a taster of what we'll be reporting on...

Well, hello there. Having just returned from the magical fairyworld of Iceland, this particular DiS scribe is heading back out of our illustrious British shores for three nights of merry-making in the Quebecian city of Montreal, Canada.

The reason? Why, great new music of course! The event goes by the name of M for Montreal and features the cream of Quebec's up-and-coming musical talent. DiS will be there to do a little DiScovery and report back on our findings, as well as bringing a few over for our events at The Great Escape, Hove Festival in Norway, London shows and a SECRET FESTIVAL OMG that we're booking and cooking.

The Monday line-up:
The Lovely Feathers
Taima
The Besnard Lakes
The Mission District
Galaxie 500
Patrick Watson
Champion & G-Strings

We're particularly excited by the sounds of The Lovely Feathers and having missed Patrick Watson at Iceland Airwaves and heard nothing but praise, we'll be catching up with his solo stylings.

On the Sunday night, we'll be treated to a late-night electronic extravaganza, featuring, amongst others, Ghislain Poirier and Plaster.

You can find out more, as well as enjoy links to music and reading my sexy name on the delegates section by visiting www.mformontreal.com and if anyone's about in Montreal, holler at me for good times!
