When questioned as to why the band have decided to go their separate ways, singer/guitarist Rob Dix made the following comment:
"Whilst our music breaks down the barriers between genres, between audience and performer, between head and heart, international barriers will never be so easily eroded. In other words our drummer's moving to New Zealand and we can't be arsed".
However, Dix also hinted that there could soon be some collaborations between members of Exploding Sheep and other people from the North London music scene. Any material is likely to be "more mellow than most of the ES output."
There are also rumours that a rarities compilation featuring songs spanning the four year career of the 'Sheep will be released in the summer.
The sugar metallers will be making their last ever live appearance on June 2nd at the Brigade Hall, South Harrow. Support will come from local bands Insulin and Student Organ.
