Maybe I was born with some amount of music talent and the ability to play the guitar. Maybe I just picked it up quickly. It doesn't matter so much how I became a musician as is why I became one.
Being a musician is truly a way-of-life. Some people practice and study for years to play in an orchestra and earn money and fame throught their musicianship. Others use their instruments to relieve stress and tension.
I believe that my situation is a combination of the two. I do love to sit around and play my guitar when I need to get rid of stress. Maybe I can improv lyrics and in them, a hidden cause of stress becomes apparent. Maybe a song, or bunch of songa that I write will make my band liked and therefore bring us money and fame.
To me, it doesn't matter because as long as there is a release and I can make music...then what should it matter what comes of it?
I say, just get yourself an instrument...play for yourself and no one else. And if someone else...or a billion people...happen to like your resulting music...then so much the better.
Good Luck.
