My band, An Axe, have just released our new single on iTunes through our own Decorum Records label.

We're a Bristol three piece with a Noir Pop sound. "Like Nick Cave fronting The Shadows" we've been told.

The songs are also streaming on our Myspace (http://www.myspace.com/anaxe) as we speak.

'Destructo!' is a spiky noir-surf instrumental and 'Cherry' is the An Axe take on the classic murder ballad.

It's our first release since becoming a three-piece after the departure of our pianist, James A Holland (though he still provided the artwork once again), and marks a new angle of the An Axe sound.

Both tracks were recorded, mixed and mastered by Ali Chant at Bristol's Toybox Studios.
