Hotel Rwanda
I just saw this film, it is incredible. I knew almost nothing about the Rwandan genocide, and seeing those scenes of unbelievable brutality and realising that they actually happened is pretty horrifying.
The film's an amazing story of this one guy's small victory against a backdrop of overwhelming awfulness and genocide, and it really shows the scale of what happened and the lack of international response without beating you over the head with it. There were some bits of it that were just devestating to watch. Without meaning to sound trite, it's pretty scary what some people in the world have been through.
