not good
dear all,
we've just learnt some bad news about our friend billy from les inc'. it's all very delicate for the next 24-48hours and he's been sedated for the past week and is now in a coma.
i hate how hard it is to say and do the right things at times like this. does anyone have advice on words which really really help people at this time? i'm not into cliches or patronisingly building peoples hopes but i just wanna offer compassion and understanding, whilst at the same time finding it hard to imagine how, especially considering the circumstances, false hope and hollow gestures will be recieved worse than anything. cards and flowers feel tokenistic to me or do they help?
it's so profound because last thursday he was a positive 19 year old getting a bus home that got punched by a drunk looking for a fight and a week on it could be... but i'm keeping positive and not even gonna say it.
so apologies for my outbursts in the past week, this has been defferal of some kind of things bubbling under the skin.
