i bought an FX pedal from germany. it came with a european 2 point plug thing.

in my previous experience, shoving the lid from a biro in the earth hole and then putting the 2 points in the remaining holes has worked fine, but ot doesnt seem to now, perhaps cos im using a different wall socket.

any advice for overcoming this? i really want to put my new acoustic pickup through my pitchshifter.
